Whiskey and Echo are littermates that we rescued at the beginning of this year. They are both spayed females, 3 years old. Both weigh between 45-50 pounds now. They are supposedly border collie, heeler, Lab mixes. They are housetrained. They are VERY bonded, and I would hate for them to lose each other. They are heartworm-negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on rabies vaccinations. After vet checks and opinions, we have decided that Whiskey, the black one, was hit by a car at some point and not treated. After losing weight and a lot of therapy, she gets around great now, with barely a hint of a limp unless you know what to look for. BOTH girls were tattooed in their previous 'home.' The tattoos are located on their belly and not spay tattoos. They definitely prefer women and are fairly skittish of men, at least in the beginning. They play great with my boys but still really only like my husband when he is on the floor and not standing. I've had them around other dogs and in a dog park with no real issue but Echo, especially, is a bit fence aggressive with other dogs. Once the fence is gone, she is fine. The two of them eat side-by-side with no food aggression. I love these girls, but we have an existing geriatric dog who is having a hard time with their energy level. They aren't aggressive to him, they just run him over easily and knock him down when they are excited and he is in the way. He is having a much harder time recovering each time, and we need to find them a new home.
